Life is still nutty

Real estate in the Spring is super crazy. Sometimes I think my head is going to explode. Oh well... I really love it.  At least Ma and Pa Stone will be moving here. I'm so excited to have family close by again. Today, I took them out to lunch. It was nice having a relaxing meal without having to tell anyone to finish eating.

I need to blog more. I need to do a lot of things more:

workout
sleep
play with the kids
take the dog for a walk

For mothers day, Brit and I are kidnapping Kandee. It should be a ton of fun. We're all getting our toes done. I'm not sure if I've ever seen Kandee's toes painted. They can't be worse than mine. My feet are horrible right now. 

Going skiing tomorrow

I can't wait. The Fosters are coming tonight and we're taking all the kids skiing tomorrow. It's either going to be a nightmare or fab....

To Nutty to Write

Wow, I can' believe I haven't blogged since Jan.  I know you've missed me so much...NOT!!

Ouch!!! My life was been so crazy lately too.

Recently, Jared and I have been talking about our communication skills, Or lack of them. I have  major issues communicating. I'm not sure what to do about it. I've started reading some books, suggested by Jared. But damm, those books are boring. All they talk about it is fixing yourself first, before looking at your partners issues.

What...I didn't know I had any issues...lol

Why is marriage so hard??? I wish it could be like the movies....flowers and love songs. I love him with all my heart, it just sucks when you go through a rough patch.  We've had our fair share of bumps in the road. I'm ready for smooth sailing.

What do you do to spice up your marriage???

Ski Day

            Last week the kids and I went skiing. We had a great time. 100% better  from   the last time we tried. I had them take another lesson since the last one didn't count. Brighton was packed, but it didn't feel like it on the mountain. Not a ton of people hang out around the bunny hill, so we were ok.  Of course, we still had a few melt downs, but overall it was a blast.   

           We can't wait to go again. We stayed from open to close. I wish the sport wasn't so expensive or we would go all the time. I love watching the little kids learning to ski and snowboard. One kid looked like he was 3 yrs old. Brit wants to learn to snowboard, but I want her to get skiing first. The weather and fresh powder was PERFECT!!  So Justin was suppose to come too, but decided at the last minute he had to much  homework. LOSER..... Oh well,  he missed out on a fabulous time.

Yeah, I think I'm going pro. Tammy Stone coming to a Winter Olympics near you!!

By the end of the day, the kids were taking the lift by themselves. The staff were so friendly and willing to help if you fell getting off. I'm proud to say, I didn't fall once!!

5k Baby

So it' official. I'm running a 5k.

OMG!!

I'm not a runner. What am I thinking???/ I run like a turtle, slow and steady.

The race is scheduled for super bowl weekend. Jared wanted to sign us up for the 10k, but I told him he's smokin' crack. Let's start small ....ok babe.

At least I can run my ass off then pig out the next day. Yippie!!

Fab Holiday Season

To top it off we went skiing. I've been wanting to do this for yrs. So for my birthday we went. I didn't however, ask for 2 sick children and melt downs.  Nothing like spending all that money to only stay for 2 hrs. LAME!!

My New Love Affair

For Christmas Jared bought me a Vita mix. For yrs, I've been drooling over them every time the guy does the display at Costco. It's the best blender in the world. What else can make soup, smoothies, ice cream, and peanut better. This blender can also turn grain into flour and knead my bread. Maybe one of these days,  I'll actually make bread. Probably not. LOL

Tonight I made tortilla soup. It was so yummy and healthy. I can't remember the last time I had cabbage. It only took 10 minutes and it was perfect.

Can't wait till tomorrow. It's ice cream day.

El Paso Christmas

I never thought I would be spending Christmas in El Paso.  I didn't know where it was till Jared was stationed here. I knew it was in Texas, just not where in the state. I mean, who goes to El Paso??

But here we are together as one big family. Minus Justin, of course. Justin is probably sitting around in his underwear eating and playing the computer.

Tomorrow is the big day. Luke's been counting down the hrs till he goes to bed.  I should be enjoying it, but it just got annoying. Brit's already gone to bed for the night. She's been running a fever all day. Of course, this is the first time we decided to go out for dinner. I hope she's alright or it might be a mac n cheese night.

I'm really craving some nice juicy prime rib......YUMMY!!

Christmas cards

What happened to sending Christmas cards?

Did I miss the memo? Are people just not sending them anymore?

Today is the 16th and I just received my second card. For a while there I thought I wasn't getting any more. The one card I had was from my neighbor.

What I Hate Today!!

1) I hate it when people send you and 60 other people a group message on Facebook. Then all day you receive comments of congrats. Don't get me wrong, I was happy for this person. Just not liking the 20+ emails all day long. 

2) I hate  that my kids are fighting all the time. It's driving me NUTS!!

3) I hate that we have to spend Christmas in EL Pitso.

At least we'll be together.  :-)

Getting my BIG butt in shape

Ok, I'm not sure if it was my outfit or my music that put me in the mood. Yesterday, I started my day  running....

I know, I said running!!! I haven't gone running in yrs. My sis, Jeni, is a runner. She's amazing and runs all the time. In this pic, she is either getting ready for the Rock n Roll marathon or the Ragnar. Either way, she is my inspiration.  She'll go for miles, me....just 2. I know it's not much, but I did it and survived. At least I know I can do it again.

I felt like Jeni too. I was trying to be like her. I wore the same purple top from Costco and listened to hip hop music. But after 2 miles, I felt like Tammy again. LOL


I went to the gym again today. I went to the Zumba class. BIG MISTAKE!! Even the old ladies were making me look bad. What's up with that??/ When did I lose my Skills?// I looked like a dumb ass trying to get my groove on.

Yep,definitely looked like a white girl. Probably, never had skills.

I looked so stupid there. I can't move my hips and dance at the same time. The teacher looks amazing. I would rather sit down and watch her. At least, I was the entertainment for the day.

Ok, think positive Tammy. I did however, burn a butt load of calories and want to go back.

Family Night

This yr, I wanted to make sure we made it out to see the lights at the Salt Lake City temple. Regardless, of your faith it's a wonderful and beautiful experience. Of course, I had to pick one of the coldest nights this winter. I really had no choice, because of my work schedule. Last yr, I put it off and we never made it. So I was determined to go, regardless of the weather.  20' out wouldn't have been my first choice.

Once we got there the kids really loved it. Lots of jumping around by all just to keep warm. We just couldn't walk fast enough. It was SO freakin' cold outside!!!

We were able to get right up next to the temple too. So of course, I had to take pictures.

Oh why can't I remember to bring my camera???? My cell is OK, but not the best quality.  Sorry about the pics.

 

After walking around we went to dinner at The Garden Restaurant upstairs in the Joseph Smith building. The food was so yummy. Once we sat down, I did some recon. I love that I have to remind my kids that we're in a nice place. Please.... oh please ....act on your best behavior.!!

I loved that we sat against the window so we could see the temple. Of course, Luke wouldn't poss for this pic. Every time I tried I would get something like this one. OH WELL .. We did managed to cram our food down to make it to the movie on time.

To top off the night, we watched a movie in the Legacy theater. It was a great way to remind the kids about the true meaning of Christmas. We're going to make this a new Stone tradition. I can't wait to share it with Jared.

Tardy Like Ususal

Well...I made it!! 

Saturday after Thanksgiving, we went sledding in Park City with The Fosters. As always, we had a wonderful time. The only downer were the lines. We showed up at noon right when they opened. We were hoping it wouldn't be that busy, but we were smokin' crack. Well, it wasn't at first. Then it started to pick up. Because, we're freaks and want to get in as many runs as possible. We couldn't get up the hill fast enough. We were SO obsessed with how long it took us from start to finish. I would time our wait in line. Usually, it was 15 minutes or so. Then it really started to jump. By then, our 2 hrs were almost over.....SO SAD!! 

I think we all turned into little kids in a candy shop. Smiles all around.  Overall, I think everyone had fun, EVEN LORD JON!! The best part was linking up as a big group and flying down the hill. I love to watch my kids smiling and laughing together. Having Jared with us was icing on the cake.  AHHH so tender!!

Thanksgiving weekend was completely full of stress, fun, laughter, and tears. Can't wait till next yr!!

Look Who's Coming to Town!!!

Tomorrow is a big day for me ...big... Huge!! I must have everything ready for his big arrival. No, I'm not talking about my husband that is coming on Thanksgiving Day. Having Jared home isn't stressful. I'm completely excited and bursting with fruit flavor to have him home.

 Who am I referring to:   Drum roll please:.....................................

Lord Jon

Who is Lord Jon you say????  He is bigger than life and  my brother in law. I've been given his rider for all the necessary items I must have for his arrival. His rider consists of various items including yum yums, french onion dip, and sweat potato pie. These must be approved and signed off by Lord Jon prior to them leaving "their time".  The 3 pies I have ready aren't enough to satisfy his picky tummy. Next time before buying the food I will email him a list for approval. I would hate to miss something and hear about it for the next 10 yrs.

While he is around the children must not run in doors, laugh to loud, or have any fun at all. It's just not tolerated and they will be punished. LOL   Jon is getting up there in age and is very delicate in nature. He is a tender individual that must be treated lightly.He's crossed over the 40 mark and he's just not been the same since. I mean look at his face!!!  That's the only angle I'm going to see all weekend.

I'm sure this weekend will be crazy and fun all rolled up in one. When ever we get together it's a blast and I can't wait to blog about it.

Negative Nelly

Lately, I've been completely negative. Just the thought of hearing another love story makes me vomit. Edward this or Jacob that!!! Yuck Yuck Yuck!! I'm so OVER this Twilight crap. One more yr till the last movie comes out. What will the nuts job do with themselves???

I'm on a roller coaster of emotions. One minute I'm singing Christmas songs in the car with the kids and the next cussing out the dog for crapping in the house.  I feel really bad for the dog since it's my fault. He tried to tell me, but I wouldn't get my lazy butt out of bed  yesterday. At least I feel better today. I should be bouncing off the walls since Jared is coming home in a few days. I am really excited about that its just hard, because he's only home for a few days. Life does suck with out him. :(

At least I know I'm not pregnant.  LOL

Usually, this is my favorite time of year. I need some Christmas spirit...

Blessing or Not?

Don't you  hate  it when you know a cold is coming on. For days I was in denial. Thinking it will pass and taking some meds.  What do you know... I woke up this morning feeling like crap. My stomach is in knots and my body is really weak. All I keep thinking about is what I had to do today.  I thinks it's my body's way of telling me to slow down. Guess I need to listen better.... duh!!

To my surprise my 3 rugrats were wonderful. I'm so thankful my kids understand that mommy needs some time to rest. Luke made sure I had enough water and tissues. Britain took care of the beast AKA  the dog. And Justin kept the kids busy. They didn't bother me while I took a nap and keep their voices down.

Everyone is posting on Facebook what their thankful for each day. I'm thankful for my 3 beautiful children that keep me going each day. They are everything to me and I can't wait till feel better to join in on the laughter.

Pick Up Chaos

What is wrong with parents when it comes to picking up their kids from school??

3:30 pm rolls around and they forget all parking and safety rules. They are so concerned with getting their kids they forget there are other cars around. Half the time they don't pay attention and almost hit some kids. The bell rings and an explosion of little people come running out screaming and yelling.  That's when the mayhem starts. It seems like the end of the world and people are scrabbling for their kids. Needless to say I wasn't happy when I picked up my kids the other day and saw what happened to my usually pick up spot. I hate it when someone parks there. I peed on that spot, so it's mine!!

So normally, I go to the slow side of the school where the buses park. You can't park in the green section, that is reserved for the buses. It's usually no big deal, because there is plenty of room on the rest of the curve not painted green. To my surprise yesterday they painted the entire curve green. Now I have to pick up my kids on the nightmare side. The other side of the school is where all the psycho moms go. OMG, I'll need to bite my tongue.

Today, I had to take my own advice. Expect the worse and hope for the best. It wasn't a surprise when a mom double parked next to me or even worse one pulled diagonal in front of me.I had 2 choices. Let it go or slam on my horn. Wonder what I did?? LOL

Are we spoiling are kids so much these days?  Can't they walk a little anymore. Does anyone else out there feel the same way as me? I sure hope so. I would love to see a school with a better pick up design. Mine needs a make over big time!!
